Repatriote Ministry Center - November 2013 Update

Haiti remains the poorest country in the West, with 80% unemployment, low per capita income, little public education or public health, and poor infrastructure. Amidst these challenges, The Outreach Foundation partners with Haiti Outreach Ministries which serves the people of Cite Soleil, Blanchard, Repatriote and Ibo Beach. Led by Pastor Leon and Jacky Dorleans, this ministry is changing lives through churches, schools, vocational schools and medical clinics. Our focus is helping HOM to reestablish and expand its ministry at Repatriote where the church building was destroyed by the 2010 earthquake. The church is nearly finished, and a new primary school is now educating children from the surrounding area.

Holistic Evangelism in Tete Province June Trip Report

Dear Friends of Tete Province,

My wife Elizabeth, Trustee Tom McDow, and I have recently returned from leading a trip to Tete Province, Mozambique, sponsored by The Outreach Foundation. There were two teams traveling with us. The first week, thirteen team members came from Tennessee, West Virginia, North Carolina and Florida. The second week, six team members came from Tennessee, South Dakota and Florida. The teams traveled to different areas in Tete Province. The first team visited the Zobue and Tete City Districts where much of the work of the Holistic Evangelism Project has taken place. The second team visited the more remote Mutarara District. Both teams experienced exhilarating worship services that both inspired us and humbled us.

Jagüey Grande is a strategic location and congregation for the Matanzas Presbytery and the Presbyterian and Reformed Church of Cuba. Located near an important commercial center and transportation hub, the congregation at Jagüey Grande is helping the Cuban Church extend its work in this community and to the south part of the island. Syria Relief Update

Dear Friends in Christ’s Mission,

On May 21, the nine-member Outreach Foundation mission-vision team (from GA, TX, CA, AL, NY, VA and NE) also found ourselves overlooking a valley…the legendary Bekaa Valley of Lebanon, dotted with fertile fields and small villages, snow still topping the mountains which frame it, and Mt. Hermon looming majestically over it all at 10,000 feet.
