Rev. Maria Jimenez de Ramirez, Executive Secretary for the Synod of the Presbyterian Church reports that among the drastic measures have been taken here to prevent the spread of COVID-19 are closing airports to flights from Europe and the imposition of a quarantine that involves most of the population. The church is complying with the measures by canceling all public gatherings and functions. The Presbyterian Church of Venezuela has shifted its efforts to distribute meals and groceries by commissioning well-protected volunteers to deliver them at homes. Church volunteers are also making masks for distribution.
