Memorial Service to Honor and Celebrate Katherine Booth
Dear Family and Friends of Katherine Booth:
Over one thousand students and guests came out yesterday to celebrate the life of this great lady. Students came from all the Booth High Schools along with the current class of evangelists. All presented songs and tributes to Mama Katherine. The Moderator of the 23rd General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of East Africa presided over the ceremony. He also said that losing Katherine Booth was like losing one in our family. She was part of us. In almost all the tributes the students said we have never met Mama Katherine but we knew she loved us.
