Tom Widmer Joins Outreach Foundation Staff

The trustees of The Outreach Foundation are pleased to announce that Tom Widmer began work as our new Associate Director for Development on November 1st.  
 
An elder and member of Third Presbyterian Church in Richmond, Virginia, Tom fell in love with God’s mission in the world while an elder at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church near Chattanooga, in part, through a trip to Kenya with The Outreach Foundation. For a number of years Tom and his wife, Katie, have felt the Lord drawing them deeper into mission work, including in their East Richmond inner-city neighborhood where they are involved in a creative new church development effort, an affordable housing ministry and other relational ministries. 
 
Professionally, Tom’s work has focused on developing successful sales and marketing organizations in hospitals and healthcare services. With strong experience in planning, communications and training, Tom’s background will be very useful as he now joins us in a funds development ministry. His winsome faith and enthusiasm for The Outreach Foundation’s mission – engaging Presbyterians and global partners in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ – are contagious.
 
Tom will work from an office in Richmond, collaborating with Outreach staff, trustees and supporters from across the country. Tom and Katie have a married son and daughter and four grandchildren. Tom may be reached at tom@theoutreachfoundation.org.
