Brazil
Travel with The Outreach Foundation to learn more about God’s mission in Brazil. The trip will be led by Outreach’s Associate Director for Mission Juan Sarmiento. Our hosts will be Outreach’s Coordinator for Portuguese-language Ministries José Pezini and leaders of The Independent Presbyterian Church of Brazil (IPIB).
Cost of the trip is approximately $3,000 including airfare from Atlanta and all in-country costs: room, board, transport and two day participation in the conference “Making Disciples: The Essence of Mission.”
The focus of the trip will be sharing with congregations that are prioritizing discipleship as a way of developing new congregations among younger generations that have become disconnected from traditional church structures. We will travel around São Paulo, Campinas, Valinhos, and São José do Rio Preto visiting with new believers, pastors, recently planted congregations, and established congregations that are starting others. We will worship with brothers and sisters in Christ and learn from some of the leaders of a growing Presbyterian-led church planting movement that includes leaders from several Reformed and evangelical denominations.
