Celebrate Mother’s Day with Outreach
This Mother’s Day Outreach has two special projects to which you can give a gift in honor of or in memory of your mother. After you give a gift, you can even download a special postcard that you can give to your mother to let her know about the gift you have made on her behalf.
Good Shepherd School in Baghdad
The Good Shepherd School is a project of the Baghdad Church. Despite decades of hardships, terror, sanctions, and uncertainty, there is a deep commitment in this congregation to “be the Church” in Iraq and beyond. Nowhere is the church’s vision to be “salt and light” more evident than in the Good Shepherd Nursery and newly-opened elementary school. Of the city’s 400 private preschools, the Good Shepherd Nursery School, which now has 108 students, ranked #2! That nursery school now acts as the “feeder” for its elementary school, and Rev. Farouk and the staff are committed to maintaining that level of excellence. The church will continue to expand the school because they must add a grade each year in order to build the program and maintain their accreditation from the government. The Education Ministry is very supportive of these private schools, recognizing that they often offer a level of excellence that the government cannot achieve in its own schools as the country recovers from decades of instability.
Good desks are still needed for the Good Shepherd School, plus a second mini-bus, as well as assistance for the teachers’ salaries. Your gifts to the Good Shepherd School help to provide these necessities.

Village Health Assistants in Mozambique
In Mozambique’s Tete Province, The Outreach Foundation actively supports a holistic evangelism project that is transforming the lives of thousands. Project Director Sebber Banda teaches and encourages leaders who work in the community, helping them to understand health issues both through training and the ministry of a dynamic drama team. Sebber teaches entire communities to deal with disease prevention, especially malaria and cholera. Training Village Health Assistants, along with teaching about hygiene and sanitation, is transforming the health of thousands of people. These Village Health Assistants provide non-emergency care for villagers living in remote areas. Gifts to this project allow for this training and work to continue.
