In Loving Memory of Rev. Dr. William "Bill" T. Bryant

It is with deep sadness that we share the news that Rev. Dr. William T. “Bill” Bryant passed away today. Please keep his wife, Bette, their sons and daughter, and their grandchildren in your prayers during this difficult time.

Bill led The Outreach Foundation as Executive Director from 1994 – 2002. Outreach’s first big growth took place under the leadership of Bill, who had previously served as pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Nashville, Tennessee.

Visits to Outreach Foundation-sponsored projects by potential contributors, trustees, and church mission leaders became one of the hallmarks of Bill’s tenure. Bill and Bette had a heart for Africa and a great love for African children, and at his retirement, they were honored by having the Bill and Bette Bryant Crisis Nursery in Lusaka, Zambia, named after them. You can view the Crisis Nursery’s 10th Anniversary video below.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been made, but we will update this page once the final details have been passed along. We also look forward to providing a more detailed story about Bill’s work and ministry at The Outreach Foundation.
