Bible Society in the Gulf

The Bible Society in the Gulf (BSG) was established in 1999 and is a member of the United Bible Societies (UBS), a global fellowship of 150 Bible societies operating in over 200 countries and territories. BSG’s mission is to make the Word of God available and to help Christian communities in the Arabic Peninsula (also referred to as “the Gulf”) engage with it. Operating Resource Centers in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), BSG provides Scriptures in over 60 languages. Its projects include Bible translation, production, distribution, engagement, discipleship, literacy, holistic ministry, and church leadership training. These are delivered through printed materials, audio/visual formats, storytelling, and training seminars.

THE IMPACT

The Arabic Peninsula attracts people from all over the world, and according to international statistics, more than 160 nationalities live there. BSG’s scope of ministry is vast and reaches the diverse world present in the region. They are one United Bible Society that serves globally and ecumenically. BSG works and partners with all Christian migrant communities working and living in the Arabic Peninsula. The programs are designed to help migrant Christian workers with daily challenges and spiritual needs.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Outreach Foundation is seeking gifts to support the Bible Society's mission and ministry in the Gulf. All gifts of any size are welcomed to help BSG make the Word of God available and accessible in the Arabic Peninsula.
