RESOURCE MATERIAL FOR EVANGELISTS AND CHURCH PLANTERS

During the last ten years Bihar Outreach Network (BORN), the partner organization in the Northern part of India, has seen the favor of the Lord on the people of Bihar state. Over 25,000 people have accepted the Lord and taken baptism.

Recently, a baptism for over 4,000 people was celebrated and over 350 churches were planted. In partnership with The Outreach Foundation, BORN was able to train some church elders/evangelists for the newly formed congregations in Bihar. They have trained 35 men and women through the Oral Bible School this year. Another 20 women graduated in December from the Women’s Bible School and an additional 112 people were trained through BORN Bible Schools around Bihar.

Most of these men and women are now actively involved in the Church planting ministry. The goal for 2008 was to reach 5,000 children and train 500 Sunday school teachers. This type of growth calls for equipping workers, evangelists, elders and church planters with material to help them care for their assigned congregation BORN is seeking help to buy evangelistic material, portions of scripture, bibles, hymnal books and other related material.
