LAY COUNSELING TRAINING IN NANJING

The rapid industrialization of China has brought with it social and psychological problems, with which the rapidly growing church has not been adequately equipped to deal with. Dr. Wang Xue Fu, a Christian psychologist, and his wife, Sun Wen, have seen this need and founded the Nanjing Institute for Zhi-Mian Psychology. They train counselors for the hotline they operate and provide training for churches who want their lay leaders to have basic pastoral and counseling skills.
Gifts to The Outreach Foundation designated for this project will be used for free interview counseling, library acquisitions, training in basic pastoral care and counseling through correspondence courses.
Minimum goal: $25,000 - Training for lay counselors in basic pastoral care and counseling through correspondence courses
