CARING FOR VULNERABLE CHILDREN IN UGANDA
Partners in Mission exists in Uganda to advance the good news of Jesus Christ, by witnessing his love to those who do not yet know Him, and by caring for the physical and spiritual needs of the people, especially the disadvantaged children of Africa.
Kamwenge Vocational School is a community school in the heart of rural Uganda district with a vision to transform this poor community into a self sustained and responsible community with a high sense of integrity and accountability in a Christian transforming environment. Kamwenge people have united together in this effort by giving generously. Bricks have become classrooms.
The school is located on 20 acres of land in district of Kamwenge, western Uganda. This area has a population of 300,000 people mostly refugees from neighboring countries, and is considered one of the poorest in Uganda. Parents can not afford to send their children to school and do not understand the meaning of education at all. This illiteracy increased the cycle of HIV/AIDS and poverty. KSVI is aiming at equipping individuals with skills for sustainable socio-economic development, a holistic approach of building the Kingdom of God.
Minimum goal: $10,000 - Educational needs and school supplies for children in Uganda
