UNIVERSITY STUDENT MINISTRY
ETHIOPIA

The University Student Outreach Ministry is at work on more than 40 campuses in Ethiopia. It provides a unique opportunity to introduce young adults to the Gospel message as they are involved with witnessing and caring for Christian communities.

This program works closely with the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus (EECMY) congregations in training local leaders for evangelism and student ministry. The direct ministry includes outreach meetings, discipleship training, leadership training, seminars and prayer meetings. Rev. Dinku Lamessa, EECMY national coordinator for college ministries, provides regular and inspiring reports about lives being changed through this ongoing work.

Funds contributed through The Outreach Foundation will be used for training events for student leaders ($3,000), training events for graduates ($3,000), seminars to train local congregational leaders and volunteers for student ministry ($2,000), and development and publishing of evangelistic and discipleship materials ($2,000).
